Materials Built for Long-Term Performance in Illinois Weather

An addition has to perform through every season Illinois brings: from heavy snow and moisture to heat, humidity, and temperature swings. Material selection plays a major role in how well the space holds up over time, especially around roofing, siding, windows, doors, framing, and exterior transitions.

Higher-quality products often provide better durability, energy performance, and long-term reliability, helping reduce future maintenance and repair concerns.

As experienced home addition contractors, our 20+ years of experience helps homeowners evaluate material options, understand how different products perform, and make informed decisions with confidence

A Clear Path from Start to Finish

A home addition is a big undertaking. RQC keeps it manageable by defining the details early, coordinating every phase, and staying in clear communication from the first meeting to the final walkthrough.

Project Discovery & Property Evaluation

We evaluate how the addition will connect to your existing home, what the space needs to accomplish, and any structural or property considerations that could affect the build.

Addition Design & Structural Planning

We define the layout, structural requirements, exterior integration, materials, and overall scope so the addition functions properly and feels connected to the original home.

Architectural Drawings, Engineering & Permits

We coordinate architectural drawings, engineering requirements, permit approvals, and local code compliance before construction begins.

Site Preparation & Construction Coordination

We organize scheduling, material delivery, trade coordination, inspections, and site preparation so construction moves efficiently from phase to phase.

Structural Construction & Interior Build-Out

We manage framing, roofing, exterior work, utilities, insulation, drywall, finishes, and interior transitions while maintaining quality and communication throughout the project.

Final Detailing & Project Completion

We review the completed work with you, address final details, and ensure the addition integrates cleanly with the rest of your home inside and out.
